Seattle-based Hutchison & Hammer Structural engineering has designed these two blessed homes. Gap House #1 and Gap House #2 beyond any doubt appear to be sufficiently unassuming, however from idea to execution, you've never seen anything like this!

"The Opening House ventures used the demonstration of obliteration to investigate the characteristics of light," as per the modelers. On paper, Opening House #1 was as basic as penetrating a few openings into the veneer of an old farmhouse destined for decimation.

Opening House #2 is a development of its ancestor. "As an included highlight, we stuffed a percentage of the gaps with shaded acrylic bars," says the designer. "We then hosted an enormous gathering, and devastated the building the following day." Look at these two cool house designs underneath.
