A long, contract ultramodern habitation imagined as a creation of dismantled aeronautics parts offers a suggestive home for a resigned pilot. 'Pilot's Estate' by Urban Office Construction modeling is lifted on a slope between a lake and a swimming pool, and uncovered on three sides so it has a feeling that its gliding on air.

The cantilevered main room extends out from the primary volume of the home like the nose of a plane, floating over other "skimming" volumes imagined as absorbed mists. You may expect a smoother outline from a plane-roused structure, yet the engineers purposely issued it a "turn and torque" to reenact the way a plane directs through air streams.

The house comprises of three essential spaces including a thirty-foot-tall living range and kitchen, the 40-foot room, and the library. Between the two different structures are a progression of concealed spaces uncovered amid the climb up a round staircase.

All through the manor, little subtle elements reverberate those found inside a plane, similar to the bolted metal edges around the windows, and punctured metal screens that channel unforgiving direct daylight the way mists do in the sky. The sharp, geometric sheets of glass that make up the windows are intended to review the edges found inside a cockpit.
